Joana Santamans (Barcelona, 1977) is a contemporary visual artist whose practice explores nature through scale, color and material intensity. Trained at EINA School of Art and Design, with a postgraduate degree in Creative Illustration, she moves between botanical observation and expressive painterly freedom.

Working primarily in large format, Santamans transforms flowers and organic forms into immersive pictorial fields where gesture, pigment and raw linen play a central role. Based between Barcelona and the Empordà, her work oscillates between figuration and abstraction, offering a sensorial and radically current vision of the natural world. Her works are held in private collections nationally and internationally.

Joana Santamans (Barcelona, 1977) es una artista visual contemporánea cuya práctica explora la naturaleza a través de la escala, el color y la intensidad material. Formada en la Escuela EINA de Arte y Diseño, con un posgrado en Ilustración Creativa, su trabajo se sitúa entre la observación botánica y una libertad pictórica expresiva.

A través de pinturas de gran formato, Santamans transforma flores y formas orgánicas en campos pictóricos inmersivos, donde el gesto, el pigmento y el lino en bruto desempeñan un papel central. Trabaja entre Barcelona y el Empordà, y su obra oscila entre la figuración y la abstracción, ofreciendo una visión sensorial y radicalmente contemporánea del mundo natural. Sus obras forman parte de colecciones privadas nacionales e internacionales.
