Annalù

Annalù is an artist with an ever expanding imagination. Nature is inextricably at the core of her artistic practice. The watery landscape surrounding her, the river she lives next to runs through her choices of material and themes. The desire to tame principally glass and resin result in what appears to be fluid, free flowing water sculptures suspended in time.
Like alchemy, Annalù’s swirling works capture the transition between the changing state of the material she has expertly learned to manipulate. The poetic chaos of nature is portrayed through swarms of butterflies, richly coloured carpets of flowers; metamorphic lyrical forms, suspended in space and time.
Annalù graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 1999, setting in motion a long career as an artist. She lives and works in her native Venice, and has exhibited extensively in Italy since 2001 when she showed at the Venice Biennale and again in 2011.
Annalù’s installations have also captivated international audiences from LA to Florida and Hong Kong. Her work features in multiple private and public collections, notably that of the National Gallery Singapore.
Annalù es una artista con una imaginación en constante expansión. La naturaleza está inextricablemente en el núcleo de su práctica artística. El paisaje acuático que la rodea, y el río junto al que vive, atraviesan sus elecciones de materiales y temáticas. Su deseo de dominar principalmente el vidrio y la resina da como resultado lo que parecen ser esculturas de agua fluidas y libres, suspendidas en el tiempo.
Como en un proceso alquímico, las obras arremolinadas de Annalù capturan la transición entre los estados cambiantes del material que ha aprendido a manipular con maestría. El caos poético de la naturaleza se representa a través de enjambres de mariposas, alfombras de flores ricamente coloreadas; formas líricas metamórficas, suspendidas en el espacio y el tiempo.
Annalù se graduó en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Venecia en 1999, dando inicio a una larga carrera como artista. Vive y trabaja en su ciudad natal, Venecia, y ha expuesto ampliamente en Italia desde 2001, cuando participó en la Bienal de Venecia, repitiendo en 2011.
Las instalaciones de Annalù también han cautivado al público internacional, desde Los Ángeles hasta Florida y Hong Kong. Su obra forma parte de múltiples colecciones públicas y privadas, destacando la de la Galería Nacional de Singapur.
