Clemence’s original installations have been showcased in notable museums and institutions such as, La Caixa Forum, Barcelona, Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona and Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, Dusseldorf. Also, he was awarded the FAD prize for his contribution to the opera, Lucrecia de Borga, by Carlos Santos for the inauguration of the Teatre Lluire in Barcelona.
Having studied performance art at Goldsmith’s College, London, Clemence’s life has been inextricably interwoven with this subject and the wider arts world. He joined a circus as a puppeteer, moved to Ireland, then Southern Europe before settling in Catalonia where he has continuously worked and performed locally and internationally with his wife, the performance artist, Empara Rossello.

In 2002 facing increasing demand for his work, Clemence began to focus on his ceramic and bronze sculptures. His pieces have been offered at auction multiple times including 20th Century British Artists at Sotheby’s and feature in notable private collections in London, New York, Washington, Los Angeles and Salzburg.
